App of the Month: Sabaton Open Air

Tremble in fear as January’s App of the Month promotes dark sided music to an ungodly audience. This wicked abomination is a threat to all that is good and just. But more importantly, it’s damn well executed. Once a year the modest Swedish city of Falun goes fullblown metal Mecka when the Sabaton Open Air festival kicks off. Uniting over 50,000 fans from all across the world in perfect disharmony, the festival is one of the biggest metal happenings in all of Scandinavia.

App of the Month: Full Pott på Högskoleprovet

Are your less-than-stellar high-school grades stopping you from getting into the college of your choice? Sorry, you’re screwed. Unless you’re Swedish and download December’s App of the Month, of course. Education is good for lots of things, m’kay? But in order to land a fine-ass degree, you’ll have to bite the high-school bullet and achieve shimmering As and Bs in subjects you might just hate. Sadly, some people are too bored, too attention deficit disorder, too lunch-money deprived or just too dumb to give enough fucks at the time.

App of the Month: Westeros City

Planning a trip to the mystical realm of Westeros? Let’s face it, with psychotic would-be kings, putrid ice zombies and “muh dwagons” lurking around every corner, the place doesn’t have the best reputation at the moment. Something November’s App of the Month hopes to change. Westeros, Land of the Seven Kingdoms, known for its wondrous magic, political power struggles and character assassination (Stannis Baratheon, we’re looking at you). With the death of the rightful king and the impending threat of an ice-zombie army drawing closer, Westeros might not seem like the place to be at the moment.

App of the Month: TPC Youth

October’s App of the Month is there to help your kids tap into the rhythm of their soul. Literally. And while looking pretty gangsta in the process. An impossible feat, skeptics might say, but The Pulse Collective disagrees. TPC Youth is a training program designed to give young dancers tap training in the spirit of UK’s number one tap team, The Pulse Collective. With a more experimental approach and a bigger focus on expression, they deliver moves with even more swag than conventional tap dancing.

App of the Month: Whynot Nightclub

When you think of Scotland, what’s the first thing to cross your mind? Men in skirts? Good ol’ Nessie? Face-painted Mel Gibson? Wrong! The correct answer is Edinburgh based nightclub WhyNot. At least after you’ve downloaded September’s App of the Month with the same name. What happens in Edinburgh stays in Edinburgh. Isn’t that how the saying goes? No? Well, maybe it should. At least if partying there is even half as hype as September’s app of the month would have you believe.

App of the Month: Youngstown Design Works

Our previous and first-ever App of the Month was awarded to an app filled to the brim with the wise hairstyling words of a true guru (or just your everyday ridiculously fashionable gay guy). The guru spree continues with May’s App of the Month, Youngstown Design Works – a pocket-size portfolio for the student-run graphic and interactive design agency with the same name. Youngstown Design Works is a graphic and interactive design agency run by Youngstown State University.

App of the Month: NBTH

The first-ever AppSpotr App of the Month is awarded to an app built from true passion. To say NBTH takes beards and hair seriously would be an understatement. With its simple-yet-slick design, stringent structure and good amount of useful information, NBTH is a must-download for all those with dreams of hiding their face behind the perfect beard. Most guys have attempted to grow a beard somewhere down the line. But it’s a long and perilous road ridden with itchy skin and the looks of some inbred hillbilly.
